Say you can't be wrong, but you sing this song Say you won't be long but you sing this song. Lookin for a deity, looking from the heights. All day long searching for the sky, I dunno why. See the Angel Gabriel swinging his sword of war The Holy Land of Israel is a holy land no more

Sinking with the sun but the heat stays on 36 degrees of Christmas trees Sinking with the sun but the heat stays on A million miles of shopping aisles Sinking with the sun but the lights are on The aircon and mobile tower nuclear bombs In the bleakest of landscapes there will always be a shopping mall In the bleakest of landscapes there will always be a shopping mall Sinking with the sun but the lights are on The aircon and mobile tower nuclear bomb "how much is your cheapest packet of gold 20's?"

"The inquiry was instigated by Queensland’s police minister and deputy premier, Bill Gunn, in May 1987. Gunn was prompted to act following media reports of barely restrained criminal activity in Brisbane “vice dens”, under the protection of police officers. Most notable among this media coverage were reports by Courier-Mail journalist Phil Dickie, and the now renowned Moonlight State Four Corners episode, filed by ABC investigative reporter Chris Masters." Thirty years on, the Fitzgerald Inquiry still looms large over Queensland politics" 1986 in Queensland The National Party landslide election The Christian Right selection Joh and the clean streets searching every weirdo you meet EXPO 88 will make us great 4am another police raid Gambling dens and brother shops organised well by cops Where do you live? Queensland In this cockroach of a city, we run the show Spider web of collection money, betting, sex and drugs God fearing voters want the scumbags kept off the streets Crims should be scared here Cowboy cops, cowboy developers We’re all mates in the Moonlight State

When King Leopold hosted parties and gave us Belgian Chocolate… On millions of Congolese that Brussels forgets with no regrets Now we cut off hands for Coltan so we can hold mobiles in our hands And we send NGO’s to mining camps to help us understand Let’s talk about it… over latte Let’s talk about it… at the partey.. When the Nazis in Kiev shot their own people in the back We loudly claimed ‘Democracy’ and the Crimeans copped the flak The fighter jet from nowhere that made the cockpit look like Swiss cheese All we got was BUKshit that was MH17 Let’s talk about it… over latte Let’s talk about it… at the partey.. Where were the Me Too protests after Rana Plaza? A thousand girls crushed to death in a yuppie made disaster Slave labour fashion progress for elite roles in the movies There’s one gender it’s called people, wear that t-shirt it’s more groovy Let’s talk about it… over latte Let’s talk about it… at the partey.. When Yemen gave us coffee we drink it without thinking While US bombs drop daily and there’s no time for any blinking The kids starve and wither from our blockade every day But black and white hipster racists shrug their shoulders and look away

about

The arabs sack Rome.

This album just happened, there was no plan. Cal visited Doug - they used to play in Star Sludge 11 years back - and heard some of his mad mixes.
Before they knew it Cal wrote words for Satya and a 'visit every few months' process began with Cal doing bass mostly to either beats with guitar or a keyboard track that Doug made up.

The whole idea was really to make weird videos for Cal's Youtube channel with the presumption more people were likely to watch videos than be bothered with some streaming songs. So the videos came first. Each tune that formed was given a 'what mood is this?' or 'theme idea' after the tune was formed and then Cal would write and think up words and the video would be made with the theme.

Our old Star Sludge bandmate Sally agreed on the genre: "Paranoid ambient wiggles".
